Hello classmates I hope you are right. Today we have to talk about the chance of going on a strike after May 21. I will give my opnion of strikes and demostrations. I think strikes happend for some reason. In the present in Chile many things are happening and many strikes and demostration are happening as well (in different places of the country). And that tells us something, doesn't it?. On the other hand I think that this kind of manifestation helps us for realize what is happening, that something is wrong, and lots of people don't know about it. And also helps to make pressure in the enviorment.
I think, strikes have to have a clear purpose and a lot of participation, just with that, it will obtained benefits, otherwise it would not be useful. But this is very difficult. Many times strikes don't have an aim, and of course if you realize things in education, politic, economic and enviorment are not well right now, so in fact we could go on a strike for a very long time, but real changes are not going to come inmediately. So this is very tricky.
We have to be convinced, and being consequent with ourselves. Some people is agree with strikes and after, they don't participate. And why? The thing is... we need to do something to arrange the situation, but is a long strike the solution?

I was thinking about what I wanted to write. Today it's a free topic and I think that's more difficult to me, because all the topic that comes to my mind  are about what is happening today in Chile, so many bad things like Chiloé, education, goberment, the economic sistem that we have (which is so bad). All that  makes me feel so angry and sad and I don't really  want talk about these things.
But... suddenly it came to my mind something possitve...birthdays. Maybe because my father's birthday is tomorrow, and he likes it pretty much.
The birthday to me is also very important, I know many people that don't like birthdays. But I always ask them, why don't you like your birthday? if it is a special day, the day that you were born, don't you think this is special? the day that you arrived to the earth...that you came to the word to see and appreciete all its beauty . I know that in the world are so many bad things today, but we need to think about the things that we like and the things that we like to do, otherwise we will be depress with all the injustice that happens, and of course we need to do something about it if we are not agree, but we need the motivation and the inspiration. We need to know that also here in Chile and in other places of the world good things also happen, like birthdays, where people wish you a good day, give you hugs, presents and love.

About the presentation.

Today 5 of May, 2016 I did my presentation about feminism in our english class. I did it about this topic because the truth is that I don't really know much about it, and I think it's very important.
The concept of feminism means "equal rights for women than for men", so I think this is an issue that concerns to all of us.
We should talk more about it and "put the topic on the table" because even if we have improved a lot as society in equal rights for everyone, some people and some countries still think that this is not right and they think that men should have domination on women.

About the presentation I liked to prepare it, because as I said before, I'm very interested, but I felt a bit nervous, anyways I think this type of exercise helps a lot to improve our english and to feel more comfortable with ourselves.
